Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the scale from its packaging.
- Battery Installation: The scale requires 2 AAA batteries, which are included. Ensure they are inserted with the correct polarity.
- Placement: Place the scale on a horizontal, stable, and level surface to ensure accurate readings. Avoid placing it on uneven or vibrating surfaces.
Operation

- Turning On/Off: Press the ON/OFF switch to turn the scale on. Wait for several seconds until "0.00" is displayed on the LCD screen. Press the ON/OFF switch again to turn the scale off.
- Weighing an Object:
- Ensure the scale displays "0.00".
- Gently place the object(s) on the weighing platform.
- The weight will be displayed on the LCD screen.
- Changing Units (Modes): Press the MODE button to cycle through the available weighing units: grams (g), ounces (oz), troy ounces (ozt), and carats (ct).
- Tare Weighing: This function allows you to subtract the weight of a container or add items incrementally.
- Turn on the scale as described above.
- Place the "tare item" (e.g., an empty container) on the platform.
- Press TARE and wait for several seconds until "0.00" is displayed. The scale has now zeroed out the weight of the container.
- Add the "net-weight-item" (the item you wish to weigh) into the container. The display will show only the weight of the new item.
- Calibration: The scale is pre-calibrated, but re-calibration may be necessary due to variations in gravity, shipment, handling, or significant temperature changes. A 50g calibration weight is required (not included).
- Place the scale on a level surface.
- Press the ON/OFF button until the display shows "0.00".
- Press and hold the MODE button for longer than 3 seconds until the display shows "CAL".
- Press the MODE button again. The scale will display "50.00" and flash.
- Place the 50g calibration weight onto the center of the platform.
- The LCD will show "PASS", indicating that calibration is complete. Remove the weight.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the scale with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or immersing the scale in water. Keep the weighing platform clean, especially if sticky substances are present, to maintain accuracy.
- Storage: Store the scale in a dry environment, away from extreme temperatures and humidity.
- Protection: Protect the scale from excessive shocks, prolonged overload conditions, and sudden temperature changes. Do not attempt to pull the platform out.
- Battery Care: Use only high-quality AAA alkaline batteries. If the scale will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
