Please read these instructions carefully before first use and keep them in a safe place for future reference. Incorrect installation or use can lead to serious injury.

The CBX AURA FIX car seat is designed for children in Group 1/2/3, suitable for weights from 9 kg to 36 kg (approximately 9 months to 12 years).

2. Safety Information

Your child's safety is paramount. Always adhere to the following safety guidelines:

• Read the Manual: Always read and understand the entire instruction manual before installing or using the car seat.
• Correct Installation: Ensure the car seat is correctly installed in your vehicle according to the instructions provided in this manual. Use the ISOFIX Connect system for enhanced stability and safety.
• Safety Cushion: For Group 1 (9-18 kg), always use the depth-adjustable safety cushion. This cushion acts like an airbag, distributing impact energy in a frontal collision.
• Side Impact Protection: The car seat features a double-walled chamber system designed to absorb forces from a side collision.
• Child Restraint: Always secure your child properly with the vehicle's 3-point seat belt, ensuring it is routed correctly through the designated guides.
• Headrest Adjustment: Adjust the headrest to the correct height so that your child's head is properly supported and protected.
• Never Leave Unattended: Never leave your child unattended in the car seat, even for a short period.
• Damage: Do not use the car seat if it has been involved in an accident, even if no visible damage is apparent. Internal damage may compromise its safety.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1. ISOFIX Connect Installation

1. Locate the ISOFIX anchorage points in your vehicle. These are usually found between the seat back and seat cushion.
2. Press the ISOFIX release buttons on the car seat to extend the ISOFIX connectors.
3. Align the ISOFIX connectors with the vehicle's anchorage points and push them firmly until they click into place. Green indicators should appear on both connectors, confirming secure attachment.
4. Push the car seat firmly against the vehicle's seat back to ensure a tight fit.

Note: If your vehicle does not have ISOFIX anchorage points, the car seat can still be secured using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt for Group 2/3. For Group 1, ISOFIX is highly recommended for optimal safety with the safety cushion.

4.2. Installing the Safety Cushion (Group 1: 9-18 kg)

1. Place the safety cushion in front of your child, ensuring it rests comfortably against their torso.
2. Route the vehicle's 3-point seat belt over the safety cushion and through the designated red belt guides on the cushion.
3. Buckle the seat belt and pull it tight to secure both the child and the safety cushion firmly.

Note: The safety cushion is depth-adjustable. Adjust it to ensure a snug fit without restricting your child's movement.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Adjusting the Headrest

The headrest can be adjusted to 7 different height positions to grow with your child.

1. Locate the headrest adjustment lever, typically at the back or top of the headrest.
2. Squeeze the lever and simultaneously pull the headrest upwards or push it downwards to the desired height.
3. Release the lever to lock the headrest in position. Ensure the headrest is adjusted so that there are no more than two finger-widths between your child's shoulders and the bottom of the headrest.

5.2. Securing Your Child (Group 2/3: 15-36 kg)

For children weighing 15 kg or more (approximately 3 years and older), the safety cushion is removed, and the child is secured directly with the vehicle's 3-point seat belt.

1. Position your child in the car seat.
2. Route the vehicle's 3-point seat belt across your child and through the red belt guides on the car seat. The shoulder belt should pass through the guide in the headrest, and the lap belt should pass under the armrests.
3. Buckle the seat belt and pull it tight, ensuring there are no twists. The shoulder belt should rest centrally on your child's shoulder, not on their neck or arm. The lap belt should sit low across their hips, not their stomach.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning the Fabric Covers

The fabric covers of the CBX AURA FIX car seat are removable and washable.

• Refer to the care label attached to the fabric covers for specific washing instructions. Typically, machine wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle.
• Do not tumble dry, bleach, or iron the covers.
• Allow covers to air dry completely before reattaching them to the car seat.

6.2. Cleaning the Hard Parts

The hard parts of the car seat can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use harsh cleaning agents or solvents.

7. Troubleshooting

• Car seat feels loose after ISOFIX installation: Ensure the ISOFIX connectors are fully engaged (green indicators visible) and push the seat firmly against the vehicle's backrest.
• Vehicle seat belt is twisted or difficult to buckle: Untwist the belt before routing it through the guides. Ensure the belt is not obstructed by any part of the car seat or child's clothing.
• Headrest does not adjust: Check for any obstructions. Ensure the adjustment lever is fully squeezed before attempting to move the headrest.
• Child is uncomfortable with the safety cushion: Ensure the safety cushion is adjusted to the correct depth. It should be snug but not overly restrictive. Allow your child time to adapt.
