Setup and Installation
Mode 1: Forward-Facing Harness Booster (22-65 lb)
This mode is for children weighing between 22 and 65 pounds, and whose height is appropriate for the harness system.
- Positioning the Seat: Place the car seat forward-facing in the back seat of your vehicle. Ensure it rests flat against the vehicle seat back.
- Harness Adjustment: The Simply Safe Adjust Harness System allows you to adjust the headrest and harness simultaneously. Pull the red lever at the top of the headrest and slide it up or down to the desired height. The harness straps should be at or slightly above your child's shoulders.

- Vehicle Seat Belt Installation: Route the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt through the designated belt path on the car seat. Refer to the labels on the car seat for the correct path. Lock the vehicle seat belt.
- Tightening the Installation: Press firmly into the car seat while pulling the vehicle seat belt tight to remove all slack. The car seat should not move more than 1 inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
- Recline Adjustment: The seat offers a 2-position recline for comfort. Adjust the recline as needed for your child's comfort and proper installation angle.

Mode 2: Highback Belt-Positioning Booster (40-100 lb)
This mode is for children weighing between 40 and 100 pounds, and whose height is between 43 and 57 inches. Your child must be able to sit properly in the booster seat and use the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt correctly.
- Harness Removal/Storage: When transitioning to booster mode, the 5-point harness can be stored in the integrated harness storage compartment. This keeps all harness components with the seat.

- Headrest Adjustment: Adjust the headrest so the vehicle's shoulder belt lies flat across your child's collarbone and the headrest provides proper head support.
- Vehicle Seat Belt Positioning: Use the open-loop belt guides to properly position the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt across your child. The lap belt should be low on the hips, touching the thighs, and the shoulder belt should be centered on the collarbone.

Securing Your Child in Booster Mode

- Guide the vehicle's lap belt through the red guides on the booster seat, ensuring it lies low across your child's hips and touches the top of their thighs.
- Guide the vehicle's shoulder belt through the red shoulder belt guide near your child's shoulder, ensuring it lies flat across their collarbone.
- Buckle the vehicle seat belt.
Cup Holders
The integrated dual cup holders are designed to keep your child's drinks and snacks conveniently close. They are removable for cleaning.
Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning the Seat Pad: The seat pad, buckle cover, and harness covers are machine-washable. Refer to the care tag on the fabric for specific washing instructions. Use mild detergent and cold water on a delicate cycle. Air dry.
- Cleaning the Buckle: Periodically clean the buckle by rinsing it with warm water. Do not use soaps or detergents.
- Cleaning the Harness Straps: Wipe harness straps with a damp cloth. Do not machine wash or submerge harness straps in water, as this may weaken them.
- Cleaning the Plastic and Metal Parts: Wipe plastic and metal parts with mild soap and cool water.
- Storage: Store the car seat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
Troubleshooting
Harness too tight/loose:
Ensure the harness adjustment strap is pulled firmly to tighten, or the release lever is pressed to loosen. Check that the harness is not twisted and is routed correctly through the slots at or slightly above the child's shoulders.
Car seat moves excessively after installation:
Re-read the installation instructions carefully. Ensure the vehicle seat belt is locked and pulled as tight as possible while pressing down on the car seat. The car seat should not move more than 1 inch at the belt path.
Buckle not clicking:
Check for debris in the buckle mechanism. Rinse the buckle with warm water if necessary. Ensure both buckle tongues are fully inserted until a clear click is heard.
Child uncomfortable:
Adjust the headrest height and recline position to find the most comfortable and safe fit for your child. Ensure clothing is not bulky.
