4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
Your monitor comes with 4 AA batteries. To install:
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Insert the 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
4.2. Connecting the Cuff
Connect the air tube from the cuff to the air socket on the side of the blood pressure monitor.
4.3. Applying the Cuff
Proper cuff placement is crucial for accurate readings. The wide-range cuff fits most adult arms (8.7 – 16.5 inches / 22 – 42 cm).
- Ensure your arm is bare or has thin clothing.
- Place the cuff on your upper arm, approximately 1-2 cm above the elbow joint.
- The artery mark on the cuff should align with your brachial artery (inner side of your arm).
- Wrap the cuff snugly around your arm, but not too tightly. You should be able to insert two fingers under the cuff.
- The air tube should run down the center of your arm.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Before Measurement
- Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising for at least 30 minutes before measurement.
- Rest for 5 minutes in a quiet environment before taking a reading.
- Sit upright with your back supported, feet flat on the floor, and your arm resting on a table so the cuff is at heart level.
5.2. Taking a Measurement
- Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the monitor.
- The cuff will automatically inflate. Remain still and silent during the measurement.
- Once the measurement is complete, your Systolic Blood Pressure, Diastolic Blood Pressure, and Pulse Rate will be displayed.
- The result is automatically stored in the device's memory.
- Press the ON/OFF button again to turn off the monitor, or it will automatically shut off after approximately 1 minute.

5.3. Memory Recall
The device stores the last 30 measurements. To view stored readings:
- With the device off, press the M button.
- The display will show the average of all stored measurements first.
- Press the M button repeatedly to scroll through individual measurements, from most recent to oldest.
5.4. Irregular Heartbeat Detector (IHB)
This symbol (heart icon with irregular waves) indicates that an irregular heartbeat was detected during the measurement. If this symbol appears frequently, consult your physician.
