Controls and Ports:
- Power Button: Press and hold to turn the speaker on or off.
- Volume Up/Down Buttons: Adjust playback volume.
- Play/Pause Button: Control audio playback.
- Track Navigation Buttons: Skip to the next or previous track.
- Micro USB Charging Port: For connecting the charging cable.
- 3.5mm Auxiliary Input: For wired audio connection.
- LED Indicator: Displays power, charging, and Bluetooth status.
Setup
1. Charging the Speaker
- Connect the small end of the USB charging cable to the Micro USB port on the speaker.
- Connect the large end of the USB charging cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
- The LED indicator will illuminate to show charging status. A full charge takes approximately 16 hours.
- Once fully charged, the LED indicator will change or turn off (refer to LED status section for details). Disconnect the charging cable.
The speaker provides up to 8 hours of play time on a full charge.
2. Powering On/Off
- To power on, press and hold the Power Button until you hear an audible prompt and the LED indicator illuminates.
- To power off, press and hold the Power Button again until you hear an audible prompt and the LED indicator turns off.
3. Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the speaker is powered on and within 30 feet of your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, laptop, desktop).
- The speaker will automatically enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing LED and an audible "Ready to Pair" voice prompt.
- On your device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "JAM Heavy Metal" from the list of devices.
- Once paired, you will hear an audible "Paired" voice prompt, and the LED indicator will change to a solid color.
- If pairing fails, power off the speaker and your device, then repeat the steps.
4. Auxiliary Connection
- Connect one end of the 3.5mm auxiliary cable to the AUX input port on the speaker.
- Connect the other end of the auxiliary cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your device.
- The speaker will automatically switch to auxiliary mode.
- Control playback and volume directly from your connected device.
Operating the Speaker
1. Playing Audio
- After connecting via Bluetooth or auxiliary cable, begin playing audio from your source device.
- Use the Play/Pause Button on the speaker to pause or resume playback.
- Press the Volume Up/Down Buttons to adjust the speaker's volume.
- Use the Track Navigation Buttons to skip to the next or previous song.
2. Speakerphone Function
When connected via Bluetooth to a smartphone, the speaker can be used as a speakerphone.
- Answering a Call: Press the Play/Pause Button once to answer an incoming call.
- Ending a Call: Press the Play/Pause Button once to end an active call.
- Rejecting a Call: Press and hold the Play/Pause Button to reject an incoming call.
3. Voice Prompts
The speaker provides audible voice prompts for various statuses (e.g., "Powering On," "Ready to Pair," "Paired," "Powering Off"). The volume of these prompts is fixed and cannot be adjusted independently. Some models may allow changing the language or switching to beep prompts; refer to the device settings if available.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the speaker's exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the speaker regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
- Water Exposure: This speaker is not waterproof. Avoid exposure to water or excessive moisture.
