3. Setup
3.1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert four (4) AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
3.2. Placement
Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface. Uneven or soft surfaces (e.g., carpet) can affect measurement accuracy.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Taking a Measurement
- Ensure the scale is on a flat, stable surface.
- Gently step onto the center of the scale with bare feet. The scale will automatically turn on.
- Stand still until your weight is displayed on the LED screen.
- The reading will flash a few times and then stabilize. Step off the scale.
- The scale will automatically power off after a few seconds of inactivity.
4.2. Changing Weight Units
The scale supports both kilograms (kg) and pounds (lbs). To change the unit, locate the unit switch button inside the battery compartment or on the underside of the scale (refer to Figure 3 for general location). Press this button to toggle between kg and lbs.
5. Connecting to the Mi Fit App
