Setup Guide

1. Unpacking and Placement

Carefully remove all packaging materials from the brewer. Place the brewer on a clean, flat, and stable surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the brewer for proper ventilation and access to the water reservoir.

2. Initial Rinse

  1. Remove the water reservoir from the brewer.
  2. Wash the reservoir and lid with mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Fill the reservoir with fresh, filtered water up to the MAX fill line.
  4. Place the reservoir back onto the brewer, ensuring it is seated properly.

3. Power On and First Brew

  1. Plug the brewer into a grounded outlet. The brewer will automatically power on.
  2. Place a large mug (at least 10 oz.) on the drip tray.
  3. Do not insert a K-Cup pod. Close the handle.
  4. Select the largest brew size from the touch display.
  5. Press the brew button. The brewer will dispense hot water. Discard the hot water.
  6. Repeat this process once more to ensure the system is clean.

Operating Instructions

Brewing a Single K-Cup Pod

  1. Ensure the water reservoir is filled with fresh water.
  2. Lift the brewer handle.
  3. Place a K-Cup pod into the K-Cup holder.
  4. Lower the handle completely to close.
  5. Place a mug on the drip tray.
  6. Select your desired brew size and strength from the touch display.
  7. Press the brew button. The brewer will begin brewing.

Brewing a K-Carafe Pod

The K200 Brewer is compatible with K-Carafe pods for brewing larger quantities (up to 4 cups) into a Keurig Carafe (sold separately).

  1. Ensure the water reservoir is filled with fresh water.
  2. Lift the brewer handle.
  3. Place a K-Carafe pod into the K-Carafe holder.
  4. Lower the handle completely to close.
  5. Place a Keurig Carafe on the drip tray.
  6. Select your desired brew size (carafe size) and strength from the touch display.
  7. Press the brew button. The brewer will begin brewing into the carafe.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular Cleaning

Descaling

Over time, calcium deposits (scale) can build up in your brewer, affecting performance. Descaling should be performed every 3-6 months, or when the 'Descale' indicator appears on the display.

  1. Turn off the brewer.
  2. Empty the water reservoir.
  3. Pour a full bottle of Keurig Descaling Solution into the water reservoir.
  4. Fill the empty descaling solution bottle with water and pour it into the reservoir.
  5. Place a large mug on the drip tray.
  6. Turn on the brewer.
  7. Perform a series of cleansing brews until the 'Add Water' message appears.
  8. Let the brewer stand for at least 30 minutes.
  9. Empty the mug and rinse the water reservoir.
  10. Fill the reservoir with fresh water and perform at least 12 rinse brews to remove any residual solution.

Water Filter Replacement

The Keurig K200 Brewer includes a water filter handle and a charcoal filter. The charcoal filter should be replaced every 2 months or 60 tank refills for optimal water quality.

  1. Soak a new charcoal filter in fresh water for 5 minutes.
  2. Rinse the filter under running water for 60 seconds.
  3. Insert the new filter into the water filter handle.
  4. Place the assembled filter into the water reservoir.

Troubleshooting
