Setup

  1. Unboxing: Carefully remove all packaging materials from the brewer and its components. Ensure all parts are present, including the water reservoir, drip tray, and power cord.
  2. Placement: Place the brewer on a stable, flat surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the brewer for proper ventilation and access to the water reservoir.
  3. Water Reservoir Setup: The 40 oz. water reservoir is located at the back of the brewer. Remove the reservoir lid and fill it with fresh, filtered water up to the 'MAX' fill line. The brewer includes a water filter handle and a charcoal filter; install these according to the separate filter instructions for best taste.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the brewer into a grounded electrical outlet. The touch display will illuminate, indicating the brewer is powered on.
  5. Initial Rinse Brew: Before first use, perform a rinse brew. Lift the handle to open the K-Cup pod holder, then close it without inserting a pod. Place a large mug on the drip tray. Select the largest brew size (e.g., 10 oz.) and press the brew button. Discard the hot water. This cleans the internal components.

  3. Close Handle: Lower the handle firmly until it clicks into place. The display will show "Just a moment..." as it recognizes the pod.
  4. Select Brew Size: On the touch display, select your desired brew size. Options typically include 4 oz., 6 oz., 8 oz., and 10 oz. for K-Cup pods, and larger sizes for K-Carafe pods (if applicable). You may also have options for "Strong" brew or "Hot Cocoa/Other" settings depending on the pod.
  5. Start Brewing: Place your mug or carafe on the drip tray. Press the illuminated "Brew" button on the display to start the brewing process.

Maintenance

  • Drip Tray Cleaning: The drip tray can be removed for easy cleaning. Simply slide it out from the base of the brewer, empty any accumulated liquid, and wash with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and replace.
  • Water Filter Replacement: The charcoal water filter should be replaced approximately every 2 months or after 60 full-tank refills to ensure optimal water quality and taste. Replacement filters are widely available.
  • Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits can build up inside the brewer, affecting performance. Descale your brewer every 3-6 months using a Keurig descaling solution or a vinegar solution as per the detailed descaling instructions provided in the full manual.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of the brewer with a damp, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the brewer in water.
