Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the scale and all accessories from the packaging. Verify that all components are present: the digital pocket scale, clear protective cover, and 2 AAA batteries.
- Battery Installation:
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
- Placement: Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface, free from vibrations or drafts. Uneven surfaces can affect accuracy.
- Initial Power On: Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the scale. The display will show "88888" and then "0.00g" when ready for use.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- To turn on the scale, press the ON/OFF button.
- To turn off the scale, press and hold the ON/OFF button for a few seconds until the display turns off. The scale will also automatically shut off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.
Changing Weighing Units
- With the scale turned on, press the MODE button to cycle through the available weighing units: grams (g), ounces (oz), troy ounces (ozt), and carats (ct).
- The selected unit will be displayed on the LCD.
Tare Function
The tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container or tray, so you only measure the net weight of the item being weighed.
- Place an empty container or the clear protective cover (used as a tray) on the weighing platform.
- Wait for the display to stabilize and show the weight of the container.
- Press the TARE button. The display will reset to "0.00g" (or the currently selected unit).
- You can now add the items you wish to weigh into the container, and the display will show only the weight of the items.

Weighing Procedure
- Ensure the scale is on a stable surface and displaying "0.00g".
- If using a container, perform the tare function as described above.
- Gently place the item(s) to be weighed onto the center of the weighing platform or into the tared container.
- Wait for the display to stabilize. The stable weight reading will be shown on the LCD.
- Remove the item(s) from the platform.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: To clean the scale, wipe it with a slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse the scale in water or use abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or solvents, as this may damage the finish or internal components.
- Storage: When not in use, store the scale in a clean, dry environment, away from extreme temperatures, humidity, and direct sunlight. Keep the clear protective cover on the scale to prevent dust and damage to the weighing platform.
- Battery Replacement: If the display shows "LO" or becomes dim, it indicates that the batteries are low and need to be replaced. Follow the battery installation steps in the Setup section.
