2. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to correctly set up your Nobsound GFJ034 amplifier.
2.1 Unpacking and Inspection
- Carefully remove the amplifier from its packaging.
- Inspect the unit for any signs of damage during transit. If damage is found, contact customer support immediately.
- Ensure all components listed in the packing list are present.

2.2 Connecting Audio Sources
The amplifier features standard stereo RCA input jacks for connecting your audio source.
- Locate the INPUT RCA jacks on the rear panel of the amplifier. The red jack is for the right channel (R), and the white/black jack is for the left channel (L).
- Connect your audio source (e.g., CD player, DAC, smartphone with an RCA adapter) to these input jacks using an RCA cable.

2.3 Connecting Speakers
The amplifier uses binding post terminals for speaker connections.
- Locate the OUTPUT speaker terminals on the rear panel. There are two sets of terminals, one for the left speaker (L) and one for the right speaker (R).
- Connect your passive speakers to these terminals. Ensure correct polarity: connect the positive (+) terminal of the amplifier to the positive (+) terminal of the speaker, and the negative (-) terminal of the amplifier to the negative (-) terminal of the speaker.
- Use appropriate gauge speaker wire for optimal performance.

2.4 Power Connection
The amplifier requires a DC power supply (not included with some models).
- Locate the DC 12V-24V power input jack on the rear panel.
- Connect a compatible DC power adapter (12V-24V, at least 5A recommended for optimal performance, especially with 8-ohm speakers) to this jack.
- Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet. The power indicator LED on the front panel will illuminate.
3. Operating Instructions
Operating the Nobsound GFJ034 amplifier is straightforward.
3.1 Powering On/Off
- The amplifier powers on automatically when connected to a power source. The small red LED on the front panel indicates power status.
- To power off, disconnect the DC power adapter from the amplifier or the wall outlet.
3.2 Adjusting Volume
- The large knob on the front panel controls the master volume.
- Rotate the knob clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease volume.
- It is recommended to start with the volume at a low level before playing audio to avoid sudden loud sounds.
3.3 Audio Playback
- Ensure your audio source is playing content.
- Adjust the volume on the amplifier to your desired listening level.
4. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your amplifier.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the amplifier. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or internal components.
- Ventilation: Ensure the amplifier is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating. Do not block any ventilation openings.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, disconnect the power supply and store the amplifier in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Connections: Periodically check all cable connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Nobsound GFJ034 amplifier, refer to the following troubleshooting guide.
No Sound Output:
- Check Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and plugged into a working outlet. Verify the power indicator LED on the amplifier is illuminated.
- Check Volume: Confirm the volume knob on the amplifier is turned up. Also, check the volume level on your audio source device.
- Check Audio Input: Ensure the RCA audio cable is securely connected to both the amplifier's INPUT jacks and your audio source. Try a different audio source or cable to rule out a faulty component.
- Check Speaker Connections: Verify that speaker wires are correctly connected to the amplifier's OUTPUT terminals and the speakers, maintaining correct polarity (+ to + and - to -). Ensure no bare wires are touching each other or the amplifier chassis.
- Speaker Functionality: Test your speakers with another audio device if possible to confirm they are working correctly.
Distorted Sound:
- Volume Level: Reduce the volume on both the amplifier and the audio source. Excessive volume can cause distortion (clipping).
- Power Supply: Ensure you are using an adequate power supply (12V-24V, 5A or higher). An underpowered supply can lead to distortion, especially at higher volumes or with demanding speakers.
- Speaker Impedance: Verify your speakers' impedance is compatible with the amplifier (typically 4-8 ohms).
- Audio Source Quality: Test with a different audio source or higher quality audio files to rule out issues with the input signal.
- Cable Quality: Inspect audio cables for damage or poor connections.
Overheating:
- Ventilation: Ensure the amplifier has sufficient airflow around it. Do not place it in an enclosed space or cover its ventilation points.
- Load: Operating the amplifier at very high volumes for extended periods or with very low impedance speakers can cause it to heat up. Reduce volume or ensure speaker compatibility.
