Setup and Initial Connection

  1. Preparation: Ensure the battery is in a well-ventilated area. Check the battery terminals for corrosion and clean them if necessary.
  2. Charger Placement: Place the charger on a stable, dry surface, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
  3. Voltage Selection: Before connecting, set the Voltage Selector Switch (12V/24V) on the charger to match the voltage of the battery you intend to charge. Incorrect voltage selection can damage the battery or charger.
  4. Current Selection: Set the Current Selector Switch (4A/8A) to the desired charging current. For smaller batteries or slower charging, select 4A. For larger batteries or faster charging, select 8A. Refer to your battery's specifications for recommended charging rates.
  5. Connect Positive Clamp: Connect the RED (+) battery clamp to the positive terminal of the battery.
  6. Connect Negative Clamp: Connect the BLACK (-) battery clamp to the negative terminal of the battery.
  7. Connect to Mains Power: Only after both battery clamps are securely connected, plug the charger's mains power cord into a suitable AC power outlet (230V~50/60Hz).

Operating the Charger

  1. Once connected to the battery and mains power, the charger will begin charging.
  2. Monitor the Analog Ammeter on the front panel. The needle will indicate the charging current. As the battery charges, the current will gradually decrease.
  3. Charging time varies depending on the battery's capacity and discharge level. A fully discharged 95Ah battery charged at 8A will take approximately 12 hours to reach full charge.
  4. When the ammeter needle drops to a very low reading (near 0-1 Amp), the battery is nearing full charge. For optimal battery life, it is recommended to disconnect the charger once the battery is fully charged.
  5. Disconnection Procedure:
    • First, unplug the charger from the mains power outlet.
    • Next, disconnect the BLACK (-) battery clamp from the negative terminal.
    • Finally, disconnect the RED (+) battery clamp from the positive terminal.
