5. Setup

5.1 Powering the Device

Your Coby Portable Compact CD Player can be powered in two ways:

  1. Batteries: Insert two (2) AA batteries into the battery compartment located on the underside of the player. Ensure correct polarity (+/-).
  2. AC/DC Adapter: Connect a compatible AC/DC power adapter (not included) to the DC power input jack on the side of the player.

5.2 Connecting Headphones

Plug the included stereo earbuds or your preferred 3.5mm headphones into the 3.5mm AUX jack on the side of the CD player.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Inserting a CD

  1. Gently slide the CD compartment latch to open the lid.
  2. Place your audio CD onto the center spindle, ensuring it clicks into place.
  3. Close the CD compartment lid firmly until it latches.

6.2 Basic Playback Controls

  • Power On/Off: Use the power switch or button (refer to device markings) to turn the player on or off.
  • Play/Pause: Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start or pause playback.
  • Stop: Press the STOP button to end playback.
  • Skip Tracks: Use the SKIP FORWARD or SKIP BACKWARD buttons to navigate between tracks.
  • Search: Press and hold the SKIP FORWARD or SKIP BACKWARD buttons to fast-forward or rewind within a track.
  • Volume Control: Adjust the digital volume control to your desired listening level.

6.3 Digital LCD Display

The digital LCD display shows track number, playback time, and battery status. A low battery indicator will alert you when batteries need replacement or recharging.
