Safety Information

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
- Attaching the Suction Hose: Insert the flexi suction hose into the suction inlet on the vacuum cleaner until it clicks securely into place. To detach, press the release buttons on the side of the hose connection.
- Assembling the Telescopic Suction Tube: Connect the telescopic suction tube to the handle of the suction hose. Adjust the length of the tube by pressing the release button and extending or retracting it to a comfortable working height.
- Attaching the Floorhead: Connect the universal floorhead to the end of the telescopic suction tube. Ensure it is firmly attached.
- Power Connection: Extend the power cord from the vacuum cleaner. This model requires a 15A socket (e.g., for AC/Water heater) for optimal power delivery. Insert the plug into a suitable electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions
Powering On and Off
Press the foot switch marked with the power symbol (I/O) to turn the vacuum cleaner on or off. The vacuum cleaner features convenient foot controls for ease of use.

Adjusting Suction Power

Using the Universal Floorhead
The universal floorhead is suitable for both carpets and hard floors. A foot switch on the floorhead allows you to retract or extend the brush bristles. Extend bristles for hard floors to prevent scratching and retract them for carpets to allow deeper cleaning.

Using Integrated Accessories
The dusting brush, corner brush (crevice nozzle), and upholstery nozzle are conveniently stored within the vacuum cleaner's body. Open the accessory compartment to access them. These tools are designed for specific cleaning tasks:

Maintenance
Replacing the Dust Bag
The dust bag should be replaced when the dust bag change indicator illuminates or when suction power noticeably decreases. Always use genuine Miele HyClean dust bags for optimal filtration and performance.
- Switch off and unplug the vacuum cleaner.
- Open the dust compartment lid.
- The dust bag collar will automatically close when lifted, preventing dust escape. Remove the full dust bag.
- Insert a new HyClean dust bag, ensuring it sits correctly in the holder.
- Close the dust compartment lid until it clicks.

Replacing the HEPA Filter
The HEPA AirClean filter (SF-HA 50) is designed to capture fine dust and allergens, making it ideal for allergy sufferers. It should be replaced approximately once a year, or when the filter change indicator (if present) signals. Always use genuine Miele HEPA filters.
- Switch off and unplug the vacuum cleaner.
- Locate the filter compartment, usually at the rear or top of the vacuum cleaner.

Motor Filter Maintenance
The motor filter protects the motor from dust. It is typically located behind the dust bag compartment. Check its condition when changing the dust bag. Replace it if it appears heavily soiled or damaged. The motor filter usually needs replacement after every 4-5 dust bag changes.
