Maintenance

Replacing the Dust Bag

The dust bag should be replaced when the dust bag change indicator illuminates or when suction power noticeably decreases. Always use genuine Miele HyClean dust bags for optimal filtration and performance.

  1. Switch off and unplug the vacuum cleaner.
  2. Open the dust compartment lid.
  3. The dust bag collar will automatically close when lifted, preventing dust escape. Remove the full dust bag.
  4. Insert a new HyClean dust bag, ensuring it sits correctly in the holder.
  5. Close the dust compartment lid until it clicks.

Replacing the HEPA Filter

The HEPA AirClean filter (SF-HA 50) is designed to capture fine dust and allergens, making it ideal for allergy sufferers. It should be replaced approximately once a year, or when the filter change indicator (if present) signals. Always use genuine Miele HEPA filters.

  1. Switch off and unplug the vacuum cleaner.
  2. Locate the filter compartment, usually at the rear or top of the vacuum cleaner.
  3. Open the filter compartment and remove the old HEPA filter.
  4. Insert the new HEPA filter, ensuring it is correctly seated.
  5. Close the filter compartment.
