Installation Instructions

2. Remove Old O-Ring: Carefully remove the old O-ring from the sump groove. Inspect the groove for any dirt, debris, or mineral buildup. Clean the sump groove thoroughly to ensure a smooth, clean surface for the new O-ring.
3. Apply Lubricant: Apply a thin, even coating of the enclosed gasket lubricant to the new O-ring. This lubricant helps the O-ring seat properly and prevents pinching or twisting during installation, which can lead to leaks.
4. Install New O-Ring: Carefully lay the lubricated O-ring flat into the sump groove. Ensure it is seated correctly and evenly around the entire circumference of the groove. Avoid stretching or twisting the O-ring.
5. Reassemble System: Reattach the filter housing or sump to the system, ensuring it is tightened securely but not overtightened.
6. Check for Leaks: Slowly turn the water supply back on and check for any leaks around the filter housing. If leaks occur, turn off the water, re-inspect the O-ring seating, and reassemble.
