5.3 Pairing Transmitter and Receiver

The ES-628O2 system utilizes smart code technology for pairing. Follow these steps to establish a connection:

  1. Turn on your camera.
  2. Turn on the receiver by sliding its power switch to the 'ON' position. The indicator light on the receiver should illuminate.
  3. Press and hold the pairing button on the receiver (refer to the receiver diagram for location) until the indicator light starts flashing rapidly.
  4. Within 30 seconds, press and hold the shutter button on the transmitter for approximately 3 seconds. The indicator light on the transmitter should also flash.
  5. Once successfully paired, the indicator lights on both the transmitter and receiver will stop flashing and remain solid or turn off, depending on the model's specific indication.
  6. Test the connection by half-pressing the transmitter's shutter button to activate autofocus, and fully pressing it to trigger the shutter.

If pairing fails, turn off both devices, remove and reinsert batteries, and repeat the pairing process.

6. Operating Modes

The ES-628O2 transmitter offers five distinct shutter release modes, selectable via the mode button on the transmitter:

6.1 Single Shot Mode

In this mode, pressing the shutter button on the transmitter will trigger a single photograph. Half-press for autofocus, full-press for shutter release.

6.2 Unlimited Continuous Shots Mode

When selected, holding down the shutter button on the transmitter will continuously trigger the camera's shutter until the button is released or the camera's buffer is full. This mode is ideal for capturing action sequences.

6.3 Bulb Shot Mode

This mode allows for extended exposure times. Press the shutter button once to open the shutter, and press it again to close the shutter. The camera's bulb mode must be enabled for this function to work correctly.

6.4 3 Continuous Shots Mode

Upon a single full press of the transmitter's shutter button, the camera will take three consecutive photographs in quick succession.

6.5 5 Seconds Delay Shot Mode

After pressing the shutter button on the transmitter, there will be a 5-second delay before the camera triggers the shutter. This allows the photographer to get into position or ensure complete stability before the shot is taken.

7. Maintenance

  • Keep the remote controller clean and dry. Avoid exposure to dust, dirt, moisture, and extreme temperatures.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • If the unit will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries from both the transmitter and receiver to prevent leakage and damage.
  • Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
