2. Setup

2.1. System Requirements

  • Operating Systems: Windows, Android, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS.
  • USB-A Port: For connection to PCs and laptops.
  • Micro USB Port with OTG Functionality: For connection to Android smartphones and tablets.
  • Note: Not compatible with iPhone, iPad, or USB-C devices.

2.2. Inserting Memory Cards

  1. Identify the correct slot for your memory card (SD or Micro SD/TF).
  2. For SD cards, insert the card with the label facing up into the SD slot until it clicks into place.
  3. For Micro SD (TF) cards, insert the card with the label facing down into the Micro SD slot until it clicks into place.
  4. Ensure the card is fully seated to ensure proper detection.

3. Operation

3.1. Connecting to a Computer (PC/Laptop)

  1. Insert the memory card into the appropriate slot on the Vanja SD Card Reader.
  2. Connect the USB-A plug of the card reader to an available USB port on your PC or laptop.
  3. The device is Plug & Play; no additional drivers or software are typically required. Your computer should automatically detect the card reader and the inserted memory card.
  4. Access the memory card content through "My Computer" or "This PC" (Windows) or Finder (macOS).

3.2. Connecting to an Android Smartphone/Tablet (OTG)

  1. Ensure your Android device supports OTG (On-The-Go) functionality.
  2. Insert the memory card into the appropriate slot on the Vanja SD Card Reader.
  3. Connect the Micro USB plug of the card reader to your Android smartphone or tablet's Micro USB port.
  4. If your device does not automatically recognize the reader, navigate to your device's "Settings" and look for an "OTG Connection" or similar option. Ensure it is enabled.
  5. Open your device's "Files" or "File Manager" application to browse the contents of the memory card.

3.3. Data Transfer

Once connected and recognized, you can perform standard file operations such as copying, pasting, moving, and deleting files between the memory card and your connected device. The reader provides stable data transfer for various file types, including photos, videos, and documents.

4. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the card reader. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the card reader in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep the protective caps on the USB and Micro USB connectors to prevent dust and damage.
  • Handling: Avoid dropping the device or subjecting it to strong impacts. Do not force memory cards or connectors into slots.
