Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove the shooting tent and all accessories from the carry bag. Ensure all listed components are present: the tent structure, power adapter (if separate), and background sheets (white, black, beige).
  2. Unfold the Tent: The tent is designed to pop open. Gently unfold the tent structure. It will naturally take its cubic shape. Ensure all sides are fully extended and the internal frame is stable.
  3. Secure the Structure: Some models may have internal Velcro tabs or clips to secure the tent's shape. Ensure these are fastened to maintain rigidity.
  4. Install Background: Select your desired background color (white, black, or beige). The backgrounds typically attach to the inside rear of the tent using Velcro strips or hooks. Smooth out any wrinkles for a seamless look.
  5. Connect Power: Locate the power input for the integrated LED lighting. Connect the provided power adapter to the tent and then plug it into a standard electrical outlet.
  6. Position for Shooting: Place the tent on a stable, flat surface. Adjust the front opening flaps as needed for your camera's lens access.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Once the power adapter is connected, turn on the LED lights using the inline switch on the power cord, if present. The internal LEDs should illuminate, providing soft, diffused light.
  2. Place Product: Carefully place the item you wish to photograph inside the tent, centered on the chosen background.
  3. Adjust Lighting: The integrated LEDs are designed for even illumination. For additional control, external lights can be used to supplement or create specific effects, but are generally not required for basic product shots.
  4. Camera Positioning: Position your camera in front of the tent's opening. You can shoot through the main front opening or, if available, through a top opening for overhead shots.
  5. Experiment with Angles: Adjust the product's position and your camera's angle to achieve the desired composition and minimize shadows.
  6. Power Off: After use, turn off the LED lights using the inline switch and unplug the power adapter from the wall outlet.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Tent:

The exterior and interior fabric of the tent can be gently wiped with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these may damage the material or reflective surfaces. Ensure the tent is completely dry before folding and storing.

  • Cleaning Backgrounds:

The included backgrounds can be wiped clean with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth can be used. Allow backgrounds to air dry completely before rolling or folding for storage.

  • Storage:

To store, carefully fold the tent back into its compact form, following the reverse steps of unfolding. Place the folded tent and backgrounds into the provided carry bag to protect them from dust and damage.

Troubleshooting

Problem: Lights do not turn on.
Solution:
  • Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into both the tent and a working electrical outlet.
  • Check the inline power switch on the cord to ensure it is in the "On" position.
  • Test the electrical outlet with another device to confirm it is functional.
Problem: Uneven lighting or harsh shadows.
Solution:
  • Ensure the product is centered within the tent and not too close to the sides.
  • Verify that the tent is fully expanded and its internal reflective surfaces are smooth and unobstructed.
  • For very reflective items, adjust the camera angle or use additional diffusion material (not included) if necessary.
Problem: Tent does not hold its shape.
Solution:
  • Ensure all internal support rods or frame elements are properly locked into place.
  • Check for any bent or damaged frame components.
  • Verify that any internal Velcro or clips are securely fastened.
