5. Operating the Monitor

5.1 On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu

The OSD menu allows you to adjust various monitor settings. Use the buttons located on the bottom right bezel of the monitor to navigate and select options.

  • Press the menu button to open the OSD.
  • Use the navigation buttons (usually arrows) to move through menu options.
  • Press the select button to enter a sub-menu or confirm a setting.
  • Use the exit button to go back or close the OSD.

5.2 Adjusting Display Settings

Key settings to configure for optimal viewing and gaming experience:

  • Resolution: Ensure your computer's display settings are set to the native WQHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 for the sharpest image.
  • Refresh Rate: For smooth motion, especially in gaming, set the refresh rate to 144Hz in your operating system's display settings. This requires a DisplayPort connection.
  • AMD FreeSync: If your graphics card supports AMD FreeSync, enable it in both your graphics card control panel and the monitor's OSD menu. This synchronizes the monitor's refresh rate with your GPU's frame rate to eliminate screen tearing and stuttering.
  • Brightness/Contrast: Adjust these settings in the OSD menu to suit your viewing environment and personal preference.
  • Color Settings: Fine-tune color temperature, gamma, and other color parameters for accurate color reproduction.

5.3 Input Selection

To switch between connected video sources (DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort), use the input select button on the monitor's bezel or navigate to the input selection option within the OSD menu.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Monitor

  • Always power off the monitor and unplug the power cord before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or a specialized screen cleaner to wipe the display surface. Do not spray liquid directly onto the screen.
  • For the monitor casing, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the finish.

6.2 Storage

If storing the monitor for an extended period, disconnect all cables and pack it in its original packaging if possible. Store in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures and humidity.
