2. Safety Information
Please read and understand all safety instructions before using the kit. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or damage to the product.
- Adult Supervision: This kit is recommended for users aged 8 and above. Younger users should always be supervised by an adult.
- Battery Safety: The kit requires 2 "AA" type batteries (not included).
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
- Insert batteries with correct polarity (+ and -).
- Remove exhausted batteries promptly.
- Do not short-circuit battery terminals.
- Remove batteries if the kit will not be used for an extended period.
- Component Handling: Handle all electronic components with care. Do not force connections.
- Choking Hazard: The kit contains small parts which may pose a choking hazard for young children. Keep out of reach of children under 3 years.
- Electrical Safety: This kit operates at low voltage (3V DC) and is designed to be safe. Do not connect the kit to external power sources other than specified batteries.
3. Package Contents
Verify that all items listed below are present in your STEREN K-800 kit:
- Main Baseboard
- Various Electronic Modules (e.g., battery module, speaker, fan, switches, lights)
- Connecting Wires/Snaps
- Instruction Manual (Instructivo) with 50 experiment guides
- Additional accessories for specific experiments (e.g., boat base)
4. Setup
Follow these steps to prepare your STEREN K-800 kit for its first use:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Organize them for easy access.
- Battery Installation:
- Locate the battery module.
- Open the battery compartment.
- Insert two (2) "AA" type batteries (not included) into the battery module, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
- Close the battery compartment securely.
- Review Instruction Manual: Before starting any experiment, familiarize yourself with the included Instructivo. It contains detailed diagrams and explanations for each of the 50 projects.

5. Operating Instructions
The STEREN K-800 kit uses snap-together components for easy circuit building. Each experiment in the Instructivo will guide you through specific connections.
- Select an Experiment: Choose an experiment from the provided Instructivo. Start with simpler projects to understand basic concepts.
- Identify Components: Locate all the necessary components for the chosen experiment as indicated in the manual.
- Assemble the Circuit: Follow the diagrams in the Instructivo to snap the components onto the baseboard. Ensure all connections are firm.
- Power On: Once the circuit is fully assembled, activate the power switch on the battery module or relevant component.
- Observe and Learn: Observe the circuit's behavior. The Instructivo will often explain the electronic principles demonstrated by each experiment.
- Disassemble: After completing an experiment, carefully disconnect the components and store them properly.

6. Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life of your STEREN K-800 kit:
- Cleaning: Wipe components with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: Store all components in their original packaging or a suitable container to prevent loss or damage. Keep the kit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Battery Removal: Always remove batteries from the battery module when the kit is not in use for extended periods.
7. Troubleshooting
If your circuit is not working as expected, consider the following:
- No Power:
- Check if batteries are correctly installed with the right polarity.
- Ensure batteries are not depleted. Replace with fresh "AA" batteries if necessary.
- Verify the power switch (if any) is in the "ON" position.
- Circuit Not Functioning:
- Double-check all connections against the diagram in the Instructivo. Ensure all snaps are firmly connected.
- Look for any loose wires or components.
- Ensure no components are connected incorrectly (e.g., reversed polarity for LEDs).
- If a specific component is not working, try substituting it with a similar one from the kit (if available) to isolate the issue.
- Intermittent Operation: This often indicates a loose connection. Gently press on all snap connections to ensure they are secure.
