Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your food processor, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Unit does not turn on:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Verify that the work bowl and cover are correctly assembled and locked into place. The safety interlock system prevents operation if not properly secured.
- Food is not processing evenly:
- Ensure ingredients are cut into uniform sizes before adding to the bowl or feed tube.
- Do not overload the work bowl. Process in smaller batches if necessary.
- Use the 'Pulse' function for better control over consistency, especially for chopping.
- Motor sounds strained:
- This may indicate overloading. Reduce the amount of food being processed.
- Ensure the blade or disc is not jammed by large, hard pieces of food.
- Liquid leaks from the bowl:
- Check that the SealTight Advantage System is properly engaged, sealing the bowls and locking the blades.
- Do not exceed the maximum liquid fill line indicated on the work bowl.
