  3. Assemble: Place the drip tray onto the base unit. Then, stack the desired number of steaming baskets on top of the drip tray. Place the lid on the uppermost basket.
  4. Position: Place the assembled steamer on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Filling the Water Tank

  • Ensure the steamer is unplugged.
  • Fill the water tank with cold tap water up to the 'MAX' level indicator. Do not overfill. The tank has a 1-liter capacity.
  • For longer cooking times, you may need to refill the water tank during operation. Use the water refill opening if available, or carefully remove baskets and lid to add water.

5.2. Arranging Food in Baskets

  • Place food items in the steaming baskets. Ensure food is cut into uniform pieces for even cooking.
  • Do not overcrowd the baskets; allow space for steam to circulate.
  • For multi-level cooking, place foods that require longer cooking times (e.g., root vegetables, meat) in the lower basket, closer to the steam source. Foods that cook faster (e.g., delicate vegetables, fish) can be placed in the upper baskets.

  • Plug the steamer into a suitable power outlet.
  • Turn the timer dial clockwise to set the desired cooking time (up to 60 minutes). The steamer will begin to generate steam.
  • When the set time elapses, the steamer will automatically switch off, and a bell will sound.

5.4. Cooking Rice

  • Use the provided rice bowl. Add rice and the appropriate amount of water to the bowl (refer to rice packaging for ratios).

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your steamer.

  • Always unplug the steamer and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Washable Parts: The lid, steaming baskets, rice bowl, and drip tray are dishwasher safe or can be washed by hand in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  • Base Unit: Wipe the exterior of the base unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base unit in water.
  • Descaling: Mineral deposits (limescale) may build up in the water tank over time, especially in hard water areas. To descale, fill the water tank with a mixture of 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water. Run the steamer for 20-30 minutes. Unplug, let cool, then empty and rinse the tank thoroughly. Repeat if necessary.
  • Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing the steamer. Store in a cool, dry place.
