This diagram illustrates the main components of your electric burner:

Setup

Follow these steps for initial setup:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the burner from its packaging. Retain packaging for storage or return if necessary.
  2. Placement: Place the burner on a stable, heat-resistant, and level surface, away from flammable materials. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  3. Initial Cleaning: Wipe the surface with a damp cloth to remove any dust. Do not immerse the unit in water.
  4. Power Connection: Ensure the control knob is in the "OFF" (0) position before plugging the unit into a grounded 120V electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

First Use

During the first use, a slight odor or smoke may be emitted from the heating element. This is normal and will dissipate after a few minutes as protective coatings burn off. Operate the burner at maximum setting (6) for 5-10 minutes without cookware to complete this process.

Temperature Control

The Volteck PAEL-1C features 6 temperature levels for precise cooking:

  1. Place appropriate cookware on the burner. Ensure the cookware base is flat and covers the heating element adequately.
  2. Turn the control knob clockwise from "OFF" (0) to your desired temperature setting (1-6).
  3. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the burner is active and heating.
  4. The burner will cycle on and off to maintain the selected temperature. The indicator light will turn off when the desired temperature is reached and turn back on when heating resumes.
  5. After cooking, turn the control knob back to the "OFF" (0) position and unplug the unit from the power outlet.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your electric burner.

  1. Always unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent.
  3. Heating Element: The stainless steel heating element can be wiped with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as these can damage the surface.
  4. Spills: Clean up spills immediately to prevent them from baking onto the surface.
  5. Do not immerse the burner, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
