Key Features:

  • Metal Pulsating Sprinkler Head: Ensures durability and consistent performance.
  • 11-inch Zamak Stake: Provides stable anchoring in the ground.
  • 2-Way Connection: Allows for connecting multiple sprinklers in series.
  • Adjustable Diffusion Screw: Controls spray from a concentrated jet to a wide fan pattern.
  • Adjustable Irrigation Limit Clip: Sets the desired rotation angle from 0° to 360°.
  • Large Area Coverage: Capable of irrigating areas up to 20.6 meters (67 feet) in diameter, covering approximately 333 m² (3584 sq.ft.).

2. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to properly set up your Truper ASP-11X sprinkler for optimal performance.

  1. Unpack the Sprinkler: Carefully remove the sprinkler from its packaging. Ensure all components, including the pulsating head, metal stake, and 2-way connector, are present.
  2. Attach the Stake: The metal stake is typically pre-attached or easily screws into the base of the sprinkler head. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  3. Connect to Water Source: Attach your garden hose to the primary inlet of the 2-way connector at the base of the stake. Hand-tighten to prevent leaks. If connecting multiple sprinklers in series, attach the next sprinkler's hose to the secondary outlet.
  4. Position the Sprinkler: Insert the 11-inch metal stake firmly into the ground in the desired irrigation area. Ensure the sprinkler head is upright and stable.

3. Operating Instructions

Adjust your sprinkler to achieve the desired coverage and spray pattern.

Adjusting Spray Pattern:

  • Diffusion Screw: Locate the small screw on the pulsating head. Turning this screw adjusts the water stream.
  • Turn the screw inward for a more concentrated, longer-distance jet spray.
  • Turn the screw outward for a wider, softer fan spray, ideal for closer areas.

Setting Rotation Angle:

  • The sprinkler features an adjustable irrigation limit clip. This clip allows you to set the desired arc of rotation.
  • To set the rotation, adjust the two metal clips at the base of the sprinkler head. Move them to define the start and end points of the desired watering arc.
  • For full 360° coverage, move both clips out of the way or set them to allow for a complete rotation.

Once adjustments are made, slowly turn on the water supply. Observe the spray pattern and coverage, making further fine-tune adjustments as needed.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your Truper ASP-11X sprinkler.

  • Cleaning Nozzle: Periodically check the sprinkler nozzle for any debris or mineral buildup that might obstruct the water flow. Use a small wire or needle to clear any blockages.
  • Inspect Connections: Ensure all hose connections are tight to prevent leaks. Replace worn-out washers if necessary.
  • Winter Storage: Before freezing temperatures, disconnect the sprinkler from the hose and drain all water. Store the sprinkler in a dry, protected area to prevent damage from freezing.
  • General Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of the sprinkler with a damp cloth to remove dirt and grime.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your sprinkler, refer to the common problems and solutions below.

  • Sprinkler Not Rotating or Uneven Rotation:
    • Check for sufficient water pressure. Low pressure can prevent proper rotation.
    • Inspect the sprinkler head for debris or mineral deposits that might be impeding movement. Clean the nozzle and internal mechanisms if necessary.
    • Ensure the rotation limit clips are not set too tightly or are obstructing the full range of motion.
  • Water Spray is Weak or Inconsistent:
    • Verify that the water source is fully open and providing adequate pressure.
    • Check the hose for kinks or blockages.
    • Clean the sprinkler nozzle and filter (if present) to remove any clogs.
  • Leaks at Connections:
    • Ensure all hose connections are securely tightened.
    • Check the rubber washers in the hose connections. Replace them if they are worn, cracked, or missing.
