3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking and Initial Cleaning
- Carefully remove all packaging materials and protective films from the appliance.
- Clean the water tank, drip tray, and coffee grounds container with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
3.2 Filling the Water Tank
- Remove the water tank from the back or side of the machine.
- Fill the tank with fresh, cold drinking water up to the 'MAX' level. The tank has a capacity of 1.8 liters.
- Replace the water tank securely into its position.
3.3 Adding Coffee Beans
- Open the lid of the coffee bean hopper located on top of the machine.
- Pour fresh, roasted coffee beans into the hopper. Do not overfill.
- Close the lid firmly to maintain bean freshness.

3.4 First Use / Rinsing Cycle
- Plug the appliance into a suitable power outlet.
- Place a large container under the coffee spouts.
- Follow the on-screen instructions on the LC display to initiate the initial rinsing cycle. This primes the system and cleans internal components.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Making Espresso or Coffee
- Ensure the water tank is filled and coffee beans are in the hopper.
- Place one or two cups under the coffee spouts. Adjust the height of the spouts if necessary.
- Select your desired coffee type (e.g., Espresso, Coffee) from the LC display.
- Adjust the coffee strength and volume using the controls on the display.

4.2 Adjusting Grind Settings
The integrated metal conical grinder allows for adjustment of the coffee grind fineness. This can impact the flavor and extraction of your coffee.
- The grind setting dial is located inside the coffee bean hopper.
- Adjust the dial only when the grinder is operating to prevent damage.
- Finer grind settings are typically used for espresso, while coarser settings are suitable for larger coffee volumes.
4.3 Preparing Milk-Based Beverages (Cappuccino, Latte)
- Fill the stainless steel milk container with cold milk.
- Connect the milk container to the 'CappuccinoPlus' milk nozzle. Ensure a secure connection.
- Place your cup under the milk nozzle and coffee spout.
- Select your desired milk-based beverage (e.g., Cappuccino, Latte) from the LC display.
- The machine will automatically froth the milk and dispense coffee.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Daily Cleaning
- Emptying the Drip Tray and Coffee Grounds Container: The machine will prompt you when these need emptying. Remove, empty, rinse with warm water, and dry.
- Cleaning the Milk System: After each use of the milk system, perform a quick rinse cycle as prompted by the machine. Regularly disassemble and clean the milk nozzle components with warm water and mild detergent.
- Wiping the Exterior: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior of the machine. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
5.2 Descaling
Regular descaling is crucial for the longevity and performance of your espresso machine. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage. The machine's display will indicate when descaling is required.
