1. Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Technoline TX96-TH TW003 Outdoor Temperature and Humidity Transmitter. Please read this manual carefully before using the device to ensure proper function and longevity.

The TX96-TH TW003 outdoor transmitter is designed to be compatible with specific Technoline weather stations, including models WS 6440, WS 6720, WS 7019, and WS 9118. 5. Setup

  1. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the transmitter. Insert two fresh AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the battery compartment cover securely.
  2. Select Channel (if applicable): Some weather stations support multiple outdoor sensors. If your weather station requires channel selection, locate the channel switch inside the battery compartment or on the back of the transmitter and set it to the desired channel (e.g., 1, 2, or 3). Ensure this matches the channel selected on your main weather station unit.
  3. Pair with Weather Station:
    • Place the transmitter near your Technoline weather station.
    • Initiate the sensor search function on your weather station (refer to your weather station's manual for specific instructions).
    • Press the RESET button on the front of the TX96-TH TW003 transmitter using a thin, pointed object (e.g., a paperclip). The red LED indicator should flash once.
    • The weather station should detect the transmitter and display the temperature and humidity readings within a few minutes.
  4. Mounting: Once paired, choose a suitable outdoor location for the transmitter.
    • Mount it in a shaded area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, to ensure accurate temperature readings.
    • Protect it from direct rain and snow. While designed for outdoor use, excessive exposure can affect longevity.
    • Ensure it is within the wireless range of your weather station (typically up to 30 meters in open air, but walls and obstacles can reduce this).
    • Use the integrated mounting holes on the back of the device to secure it to a wall or post.

6. Operating Instructions

The TX96-TH TW003 transmitter automatically measures outdoor temperature and humidity and transmits this data wirelessly to your compatible Technoline weather station at regular intervals (e.g., every 30-60 seconds). No further user interaction is typically required after initial setup.

  • The red LED indicator on the front of the transmitter will flash briefly each time data is transmitted.
  • Ensure the weather station remains within the effective transmission range of the outdoor sensor.

7. Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: When the batteries are low, your weather station may indicate a low battery warning for the outdoor sensor. Replace both batteries with fresh ones, following the polarity markings. After replacing batteries, you may need to press the RESET button and re-initiate the sensor search on your weather station.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the transmitter with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no moisture enters the device.
  • Environmental Protection: Periodically check the mounting location to ensure the sensor is still protected from direct harsh weather conditions.
