Sharpening a Chainsaw Chain:
- Ensure the grinder is securely mounted and the chain is properly seated in the vice.
- Verify all adjustments (angle, depth, chain stop) are set correctly for your chain type.
- Turn on the grinder. The built-in light will illuminate the work area.
- Gently lower the grinding head onto the first cutter. The hydraulic system will automatically clamp the chain.
- Apply light, consistent pressure. Sharpen each cutter on one side of the chain, then release the head.
- Advance the chain to the next cutter of the same side and repeat the process.
- Once all cutters on one side are sharpened, rotate the vice assembly to the opposite angle and sharpen the remaining cutters.
- Use the depth gauge disc to maintain proper depth gauge settings after sharpening cutters.
