1. Introduction

The Numark NS7III is a professional 4-channel motorized DJ controller designed for seamless integration with Serato DJ software. This unit provides a tactile and authentic DJ experience with its motorized platters and comprehensive control surface. 3. Setup

3.1. Platter Assembly

1. Carefully place the aluminum platter onto the spindle of each deck.
2. Position the slipmat on top of the aluminum platter.
3. Place the vinyl record on the slipmat.
4. Secure the vinyl record using the provided spindle screw and Allen wrench.

3.2. Connecting the Display Unit

1. Attach the Display Unit to the designated slot on the NS7III controller.
2. Connect the Display USB Cable from the Display Unit to the NS7III controller.
3. Connect the Display Power Cable to the Display Unit and a power source.

3.3. Power and USB Connection

1. Connect the main Power Cable to the NS7III and a power outlet.
2. Connect the USB Cable from the NS7III to an available USB port on your computer.

3.4. Audio Connections

Connect your speakers or sound system to the appropriate audio outputs on the rear panel of the NS7III. The unit features XLR and RCA master outputs, as well as a booth output.

3.5. Software Installation

Download and install the Serato DJ software from the official Serato website (serato.com/dj/pro). Follow the on-screen instructions for installation. Ensure your computer meets the minimum system requirements for Serato DJ.

4.2. Basic Operation

1. Power On: Ensure all connections are secure, then power on the NS7III. Launch Serato DJ on your computer.
2. Loading Tracks: Use the central screen and its corresponding knob to navigate your music library. Press the knob to load a selected track onto a deck.
3. Playback and Scratching: Use the motorized platters to control track playback, scratch, and cue. The play/pause buttons initiate and stop playback.
4. Mixing: Adjust the channel faders and crossfader in the mixer section to blend tracks. Use the EQ knobs to shape the sound of each track.
5. Beatmatching: Utilize the pitch sliders to match the tempos of two tracks. The on-screen waveforms assist in visual beatmatching.
6. Performance Pads: Experiment with the 10 pad modes to trigger hot cues, create loops, slice tracks, and activate samples for dynamic performances.
