1. Introduction

The Electro-Harmonix Nano POG is a compact polyphonic octave generator pedal designed to add sub-octave and octave-up harmonies to your instrument's signal. It features a new algorithm for superior tracking and sound quality, allowing for seamless polyphonic performance.

This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your Nano POG pedal, along with troubleshooting tips and product specifications.

3. Setup and Connections

Before connecting your Nano POG, ensure all audio equipment is turned off to prevent damage.

3.1 Power Supply

The Nano POG requires a 9V DC power supply (center-positive). It can also be powered by a 9V battery, though a power adapter is recommended for consistent performance.

3.2 Connecting Your Pedal

  1. Connect your instrument (e.g., guitar) to the INPUT jack on the right side of the pedal using a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable.
  2. Connect the EFFECT OUT jack on the left side of the pedal to your amplifier or next effect pedal in the signal chain.
  3. (Optional) For a separate dry signal, connect the DRY OUT jack to another amplifier or mixer input.
  4. Connect the 9V DC power supply to the 9V power input.

4. Operating Instructions

The Nano POG features three primary control knobs and a footswitch for intuitive operation.

The footswitch engages or bypasses the octave effect. When the effect is active, the LED indicator will illuminate. The footswitch provides silent switching for smooth transitions.

4.3 Basic Operation

To begin, set the DRY knob to a comfortable level. Then, gradually introduce the SUB OCTAVE and OCTAVE UP signals to blend them with your original tone. Experiment with different combinations to achieve various polyphonic effects.
