To ensure optimal performance, recharge the booster after each use and periodically (every 2-3 months) even when not in use. Connect the car charger to the booster's charging port and a 12V DC power source. The charge status indicators will show progress. Disconnect once fully charged.
6.2 Jump-Starting a Vehicle
Follow these steps carefully to jump-start a vehicle:
- Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and all accessories (lights, radio, etc.) are turned off.
- Place the booster on a stable, flat surface away from moving engine parts.
- Connect the red positive (+) clamp of the booster to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's discharged battery.
- Connect the black negative (-) clamp of the booster to a clean, unpainted metal part of the vehicle's engine block or chassis, away from the battery and fuel lines. Do not connect directly to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Turn on the booster's power switch.
- Attempt to start the vehicle. If it does not start immediately, wait a few minutes before trying again. Do not crank the engine for more than 5 seconds at a time.
- Once the vehicle starts, turn off the booster's power switch.
- Disconnect the black negative (-) clamp first from the vehicle's chassis.
- Disconnect the red positive (+) clamp from the vehicle's battery.
- Allow the vehicle's engine to run for at least 20 minutes to recharge its battery.
