1. Product Overview

The Sony SRSX11 is an ultra-portable Bluetooth speaker designed to deliver powerful sound in a compact form factor. It features easy connectivity options including Bluetooth and NFC, allowing for wireless audio streaming and hands-free calling. With up to 12 hours of battery life, it is suitable for extended use. The speaker also supports a 'Speaker Add' function for enhanced stereo sound by pairing with a second unit.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Speaker

1. Connect the supplied micro USB cable to the DC IN 5V port on the speaker.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB AC adapter (not supplied) or a powered USB port on a computer.
3. The CHARGE indicator will light up during charging and turn off when charging is complete.

4.2 Powering On/Off

• To power on, press and hold the POWER button until the indicator lights up.
• To power off, press and hold the POWER button again until the indicator turns off.

4.3 Bluetooth Pairing

Pair your speaker with a Bluetooth-enabled device (e.g., smartphone, tablet, laptop).

1. Turn on the speaker. The Bluetooth indicator will flash rapidly.
2. On your device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select "SRSX11" from the list of devices.
4. Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator will stop flashing and remain lit.

NFC One-touch Pairing

For NFC-compatible devices:

1. Ensure NFC is enabled on your device.
2. Touch your NFC-compatible device to the N-Mark on the speaker.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts on your device to complete pairing.

4.4 Speaker Add Function (Stereo/Double Mode)

To use two SRSX11 speakers together:

1. Ensure both speakers are powered on and not connected to any Bluetooth device.
2. On one speaker (Speaker A), press the ADD button. The ADD indicator will flash.
3. On the second speaker (Speaker B), press the ADD button. The ADD indicator will flash.
4. Once connected, the ADD indicators on both speakers will light up. Speaker A will be the left channel and Speaker B the right channel for stereo mode.
5. To switch to Double mode (both speakers play full range audio), press the ADD button on either speaker again.
6. Connect your Bluetooth device to Speaker A.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Playing Music

• After successful Bluetooth pairing, start music playback on your connected device.
• Audio will stream wirelessly to the SRSX11 speaker.
• Alternatively, connect an audio device using a 3.5mm stereo mini cable to the AUDIO IN port.

5.2 Adjusting Volume

• Press the + button to increase volume.
• Press the - button to decrease volume.
• You can also adjust the volume directly from your connected Bluetooth device.

5.3 Handling Phone Calls

• When a call comes in, music playback will pause.
• Press the CALL button to answer the call.
• Speak into the speaker's built-in microphone.
• Press the CALL button again to end the call.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

• Wipe the speaker with a soft, dry cloth.
• Do not use abrasive pads, scouring powder, or solvents such as alcohol or benzene.

6.2 Battery Care

• Charge the battery fully before first use.
• To preserve battery life, charge the speaker at least once every six months if not in regular use.
• Avoid exposing the speaker to extreme temperatures.

6.3 Storage

• Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 No Power

• Ensure the speaker is charged. Connect it to a power source using the micro USB cable.
• Press and hold the POWER button for a few seconds to ensure it's properly turned on.

7.2 Cannot Pair via Bluetooth

• Make sure the speaker is in pairing mode (Bluetooth indicator flashing rapidly).
• Ensure your device's Bluetooth is enabled and within 10 meters (33 feet) of the speaker.
• If previously paired, try deleting "SRSX11" from your device's Bluetooth list and re-pairing.
• Try resetting the speaker (see 7.4 Resetting the Speaker).

7.3 No Sound or Low Volume

• Increase the volume on both the speaker and your connected device.
• Ensure the speaker is properly connected via Bluetooth or the AUDIO IN cable.
• Check if the audio source on your device is playing.

7.4 Resetting the Speaker

If the speaker is not operating correctly, you can perform a reset:

• Locate the RESET button (usually a small pinhole) on the back of the speaker.
• Use a thin object (like a paperclip) to press and hold the RESET button for a few seconds.
• The speaker will restart, and settings will return to default.
