Maintenance

Regular maintenance will extend the life and ensure the safety of your Lifetime basketball hoop.

• Base Stability: Periodically check the water or sand level in the portable base. Refill as necessary to maintain optimal stability, especially after strong winds or heavy use.
• Hardware Inspection: Annually inspect all nuts, bolts, and connections for tightness. Tighten any loose hardware to prevent wobbling or structural instability.
• Cleaning: Clean the backboard and pole with a mild soap and water solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the polycarbonate or powder-coated finish.
• Net Condition: Inspect the all-weather net for any signs of wear, tears, or damage. Replace the net if it shows significant deterioration to ensure continued playability.
• Rust Prevention: While the pole is powder-coated for rust resistance, regularly check for any scratches or chips in the coating. Touch up with rust-inhibiting paint if needed to prevent corrosion.
