Maintenance

Cleaning the Toy

  • After each use, remove any excess Play-Doh compound from the truck and accessories.
  • Allow any small, stuck pieces of Play-Doh to dry completely, then scrape them off with a blunt tool or brush. Do not use water to clean Play-Doh from the toy, as it can make it sticky.
  • Wipe the plastic surfaces with a dry cloth if necessary.

Storing Play-Doh Compound

  • Always return Play-Doh compound to its airtight container after use to prevent it from drying out.
  • Store containers in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting

  • Issue: Play-Doh compound is stuck in the extruder or mixer.
Solution: Allow the Play-Doh to dry completely within the mechanism. Once dry, it will shrink and can often be easily removed. Use a small, non-sharp tool to gently dislodge any remaining pieces.
  • Issue: Play-Doh compound feels too hard or dry.
Solution: Knead the Play-Doh with a few drops of water. Add water sparingly and knead until the desired consistency is achieved. Ensure containers are sealed tightly after use to prevent future drying.
