Operating Instructions
The Toro UltraPlus 51621 features variable speed control for precise operation in both blower and vacuum modes.
Starting and Stopping:
- Connect the tool to a suitable power outlet using a heavy-duty outdoor extension cord.
- To start, press the power switch.
- To stop, release the power switch.
Variable Speed Control:
Adjust the dial on the top of the unit to increase or decrease the airflow speed. Lower speeds are suitable for delicate areas or light debris, while higher speeds provide maximum power for stubborn leaves or vacuuming.
Blowing Operation:
Use the blower mode to clear leaves and debris from hard surfaces, lawns, and garden beds. The oscillating nozzle can be used to sweep air back and forth automatically, creating a wider clearing path without constant wrist movement.

Vacuum and Mulching Operation:
In vacuum mode, the tool collects leaves and debris into the vacuum bag while simultaneously shredding them with the metal impeller and Shredz-All shred ring. This reduces the volume of debris, making disposal easier.
- For best results, vacuum dry leaves. Damp leaves may be heavier and more prone to clogging.
- Move the vacuum tube slowly and steadily over the debris. Avoid attempting to vacuum large, thick sticks or excessive amounts of wet material at once to prevent clogging.
- The Shredz-All shred ring works with the metal impeller to reduce mulched debris to less than 1/2 inch.

- Emptying the Vacuum Bag: The vacuum bag features a bottom-zip design for easy emptying. Unzip the bottom to release mulched debris.
- Cleaning: After each use, disconnect the power and clean the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Remove any debris from the intake and discharge openings.
- Storage: Store the unit and its attachments in a dry, protected area. The vacuum bag can be hung for convenient storage of all components.
