4. Setup and Installation

Pre-Installation Checklist
- Verify that your base cabinet is at least 50 cm wide.
- Ensure all included components are present and undamaged.
- Gather necessary tools: jigsaw, drill, sealant, screwdriver, measuring tape, pencil, level.
- Confirm the desired orientation (drip surface left or right) before cutting the countertop.
Installation Steps
- Prepare the Countertop: Using the provided template (if applicable) or the sink's external dimensions (860 x 500 mm) and cut-out dimensions (840 x 480 mm), mark the precise cut-out area on your countertop. Carefully cut the opening using a jigsaw. Ensure the cut-out corners have a radius of R15.
- Mount the Sink: Apply a bead of silicone sealant around the edge of the cut-out on the countertop. Carefully lower the sink into the opening, ensuring it is properly aligned. Use the provided mounting clips to secure the sink firmly to the underside of the countertop. Tighten the clips evenly to create a watertight seal.
- Install Drain and Overflow: Assemble the drain fitting, basket valve, and space-saving tube according to the diagrams in the included manual. Connect the overflow pipe to the sink and the drain fitting. Ensure all connections are hand-tightened and then secured with appropriate tools, avoiding overtightening.
- Connect Plumbing: Connect the sink's drain assembly to your household plumbing system. Ensure all connections are secure and leak-free. Test for leaks by running water into the sink.
