The SANSUI T-α7 is an FM/AM stereo tuner from the aelf series, equipped with a comprehensive set of features designed for enhanced audio experience.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the tuner from its packaging. Retain all packing materials for future transport or storage.
  2. Placement: Place the tuner on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or moisture. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  3. Antenna Connection:
    • For FM reception, connect a 75Ω coaxial FM antenna to the FM ANTENNA terminal. For optimal reception, an outdoor antenna is recommended.
    • For AM reception, connect the supplied AM loop antenna to the AM ANTENNA terminals. Position the loop antenna for best reception.
  4. Audio Connection: Connect the audio output terminals (gold-plated) of the T-α7 tuner to an available input on your amplifier or receiver using appropriate audio cables. Ensure correct left and right channel connections.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a suitable AC outlet.

Operating Instructions

Basic Operation

  1. Power On/Off: Press the POWER button on the front panel to turn the unit on or off.
  2. Band Selection: Press the FM/AM button to switch between FM and AM bands.
  3. Tuning:
    • Manual Tuning: Rotate the TUNING knob to manually adjust the frequency.
    • Automatic Tuning: Press the TUNING MODE button to select auto tuning, then use the tuning knob or preset buttons to scan for stations.
  4. Preset Stations:
    • To store a station: Tune to the desired station, then press and hold one of the PRESET buttons (1-15) until the display confirms storage.
    • To recall a station: Press the corresponding PRESET button.

Maintenance

    Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, dampen the cloth slightly with water and a mild detergent, then wipe dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or alcohol, as they may damage the finish.

  • Ventilation:

    Ensure that the ventilation openings on the unit are not blocked. Proper airflow is essential to prevent overheating.

  • Power Cord:

    Regularly check the power cord for any signs of damage. If damaged, discontinue use and contact qualified service personnel.

  • Storage:

    If storing the unit for an extended period, disconnect it from the power outlet and store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
