Operating Instructions
Using the HDMI Port
Connect an HDMI-enabled display to the hub's HDMI port. Your device should automatically extend or mirror your display. You may need to adjust display settings in your operating system (e.g., System Preferences on macOS, Display Settings on Windows) to configure resolution, refresh rate, and display arrangement.
Note:
- Ensure your host device's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode. Not all USB-C ports support video output.
- For 4K@60Hz output, ensure your display, HDMI cable, and host device all support this resolution and refresh rate.
Using the USB-C Power Delivery Port
Connect your device's original USB-C power adapter to this port to charge your host device while using the hub. This port is for power input only and does not support data transfer.
Using the USB-A and USB-C Data Ports
Plug in your USB-A and USB-C peripherals. These ports support SuperSpeed 10 Gbps data transfer, allowing for quick transfer of large files. They are backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 devices, but data transfer speeds will be limited by the connected device's capabilities.
Maintenance
- Keep the hub clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Do not expose the hub to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
- Avoid dropping or subjecting the hub to strong impacts.
- Store the hub in a cool, dry place when not in use.
Troubleshooting
No Display Output via HDMI
- Ensure your host device's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode. Not all USB-C ports support video output.
- Check all cable connections (USB-C to host, HDMI to display).
- Try a different HDMI cable or display.
- Restart your host device.
- Verify display settings on your host device.
USB Devices Not Recognized
- Ensure the hub is securely connected to your host device.
- Try connecting the USB device directly to your host device to confirm it's working.
- If connecting a high-power device (e.g., external HDD), ensure the hub is connected to a power source via its PD port.
- Try a different USB port on the hub.
Host Device Not Charging
- Ensure your original USB-C power adapter is connected to the hub's USB-C PD port.
- Verify that your host device's USB-C port supports Power Delivery.
- Check the power adapter and cable for any damage.
Hub Feels Warm During Use
It is normal for the hub to become warm during operation, especially when multiple ports are in use or when charging a device. If it becomes excessively hot, disconnect it and contact support.
