Selecting Cooking Programs

The GM D Pot features 9 pre-set cooking menus. Press the 'Menu' button repeatedly to cycle through the available programs. The selected program will be indicated on the digital display.

Setting Pressure Levels

This appliance offers both low and high pressure cooking options. After selecting a cooking program, use the 'Pressure' button to toggle between low and high pressure settings if the program allows.

Using the 24-Hour Programmable Timer

To delay the start of cooking, use the 'Timer' or 'Delay Start' function. After selecting your desired cooking program and settings, press the 'Timer' button and use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired delay time in hours. The cooker will automatically start cooking after the set delay.

Voice Prompts

The GM D Pot is equipped with a voice prompt system to guide you through various stages of operation, such as lid locking, pressure building, and cooking completion. Pay attention to these prompts for a smoother cooking experience.

Opening the Lid Safely

  1. Once cooking is complete, the cooker will automatically switch to 'Keep Warm' mode.
  2. To open the lid, first ensure all pressure has been released. You can do this by carefully turning the pressure release valve to the 'Venting' position (Natural Release) or by using the Quick Release method (consult specific recipe instructions).
  3. Wait until the float valve drops down, indicating that all internal pressure has dissipated.
  4. Rotate the lid counter-clockwise to unlock and lift it away from your face to avoid hot steam.

5. Care and Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Inner Pot: Wash with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly. The inner pot is not dishwasher safe.
  • Lid: Remove the sealing ring and wash it, along with the lid, in warm, soapy water. Clean the pressure release valve and float valve to ensure they are free of food debris. Reinstall the sealing ring correctly after cleaning.
  • Main Unit: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Never immerse the main unit in water.
  • Condensation Collector: Empty and clean after each use.

Storage

Ensure the appliance is clean and dry before storing. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not place heavy objects on top of the cooker.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Cooker not building pressure: Check if the lid is properly closed and locked. Ensure the sealing ring is correctly installed and not damaged. Verify the pressure release valve is set to 'Sealing'.
  • Steam leaking from lid: This often indicates an improperly seated sealing ring or food debris preventing a proper seal. Clean and re-seat the sealing ring.
  • Food not cooking properly: Ensure sufficient liquid was added. Verify the correct cooking program and time were selected.
  • Error codes on display: Refer to the specific error code in the full manual (if available) or contact customer support.
