4. Setup and Assembly

4.1 Attaching the Auxiliary Handle

The auxiliary handle can be rotated 360 degrees to suit left or right-handed use and for optimal positioning. Loosen the handle by twisting it counter-clockwise, position it as desired, and then tighten it clockwise until secure.

4.2 Installing the Depth Stop

Insert the depth stop into the hole on the auxiliary handle. Adjust the depth stop to the desired drilling depth by sliding it in or out. Secure it by tightening the auxiliary handle.

4.3 Inserting SDS-Plus Drill Bits

  1. Clean the shank of the drill bit.
  2. Pull back the chuck sleeve.
  3. Insert the drill bit into the chuck until it clicks into place.
  4. Release the chuck sleeve.
  5. Pull the drill bit to ensure it is securely locked. A slight axial play is normal for SDS-Plus systems.

4.4 Power Connection

Ensure the power switch is in the "OFF" position before plugging the tool into a 220V AC power outlet. Verify that the voltage of your power supply matches the rating on the tool's nameplate.

5.1 Selecting the Operating Mode

The KD975 offers three operating modes:
