6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Radio Operation (PLL AM/FM Tuner with 40 Presets)

  1. Turn On/Off: Press the POWER button to turn the radio on or off.
  2. Select Band: Press the BAND button (or similar) to switch between FM and AM (MW) bands. The corresponding indicator will light up.
  3. Manual Tuning: Use the TUNE + / - buttons to manually adjust the frequency.
  4. Automatic Scan: Press and hold the TUNE + / - buttons for a few seconds to automatically scan for the next available station.
  5. Setting Presets (40 Presets):
    • Tune to your desired station.
    • Press the MEMORY or PRESET button. The preset number will flash.
    • Use the PRESET + / - buttons to select the desired preset number (1-40).
    • Press MEMORY or PRESET again to save the station.
  6. Recalling Presets: In radio mode, use the PRESET + / - buttons to cycle through your saved stations.
  7. Volume Control: Use the VOLUME + / - buttons to adjust the sound level.

6.2 Setting Alarms (Dual Alarm by Radio or Buzzer)

The M-165 CMR features two independent alarms. You can set each alarm to wake you up with either the radio or a buzzer sound.

  1. Select Alarm: Press the ALARM 1 SET or ALARM 2 SET button (or similar). The alarm time will flash.
  2. Set Alarm Time: While the alarm time is flashing, use the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set the desired wake-up time.
  3. Select Alarm Source: Press the ALARM MODE button (or repeatedly press the alarm set button) to cycle through options: RADIO, BUZZER, or OFF. The corresponding indicator (radio icon or buzzer icon) will appear.
  4. Confirm Alarm: Press the ALARM SET button again to confirm the settings. The alarm indicator (AL1 or AL2) will light up, indicating the alarm is active.

6.3 Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE (SNZ) button to temporarily silence the alarm. The alarm will sound again after a few minutes (typically 9 minutes, though this may vary). The snooze indicator will flash.

6.4 Stopping and Disabling Alarms

  • Stopping Alarm: To stop a sounding alarm, press the POWER button. The alarm will reset for the next day.
  • Disabling Alarm: To completely turn off an alarm, press the corresponding ALARM SET button repeatedly until the alarm indicator (AL1 or AL2) disappears from the display.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

  • Always unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.

7.2 Battery Replacement
