Maintenance and Cleaning
Cleaning the Bread Pan and Kneading Paddle
- After each use, allow the bread pan and kneading paddle to cool completely.
- Fill the bread pan with warm, soapy water and let it soak for 10-15 minutes to loosen any stuck-on dough or residue.
- Remove the kneading paddle and clean it with a soft sponge or brush.
- Wash the interior of the bread pan. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as these can damage the non-stick coating.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing or next use.
Cleaning the Exterior
- Unplug the bread machine before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior housing with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
Storage
- Ensure the bread machine is clean and dry before storing.
- Store the appliance in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your bread machine, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Bread does not rise | Expired yeast, too much salt, too little sugar, incorrect water temperature. | Check yeast expiration date. Reduce salt. Increase sugar. Use water between 105-115°F (40-46°C). |
| Bread is too dense | Too much flour, too little liquid, old yeast. | Measure ingredients precisely. Ensure correct liquid-to-flour ratio. Use fresh yeast. |
| Bread pan sticks | Damaged non-stick coating, residue buildup. | Ensure pan is clean. Do not use metal utensils. If coating is severely damaged, pan may need replacement. |
| Machine beeps continuously | Power interruption, internal error. | Unplug the machine for 10 minutes, then plug back in. If error persists, contact customer support. |
