Setup: Loading Staples
- Locate the "PUSH" button on the top rear of the stapler (refer to Figure 3).
- Press the "PUSH" button firmly to release the staple channel. The top cover will spring open.
- Pull the staple channel completely out until it locks into place.
- Insert a strip of Leitz 24/6 or 26/6 staples into the channel with the staple points facing downwards.
- Push the staple channel back into the stapler until it clicks securely into place.
- Close the top cover until it latches.
Your stapler is now ready for use.
Operating Instructions
- Gather the papers you wish to staple, ensuring they are neatly aligned.
- Insert the papers into the stapler's throat, positioning them where you want the staple to be placed.
- Press down firmly and evenly on the top of the stapler until the staple penetrates the paper and clinches underneath.
- Release the stapler. The stapled papers can now be removed.
Do not force the stapler if it encounters resistance, as this may cause jams or damage.
Maintenance
Clearing Staple Jams
- If a staple jam occurs, first remove any paper from the stapler.
- Open the staple channel as described in the "Loading Staples" section.
- Carefully remove any bent or jammed staples from the channel using tweezers or a small, flat tool. Be cautious to avoid injury.
- Ensure the staple channel is clear before reloading new staples and closing the stapler.
Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the stapler with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
