Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your CORNAT SPKECK1400 corner cistern. Refer to the diagrams for visual guidance.

  1. Prepare the Installation Area: Ensure the corner wall is suitable for mounting. Measure and mark the desired height for the cistern, considering the toilet bowl height and the flush pipe connection. The diagram shows a typical cistern dimension of 310mm width and 105mm depth for the top section, and an overall height of 620-420mm from the floor to the cistern base, with a toilet connection of 250mm +/- 50mm.
  2. Mount the Cistern Bracket: Drill holes according to the bracket dimensions and secure the mounting bracket to the wall using appropriate fasteners. Ensure it is level and securely fixed.
  3. Position the Cistern: Carefully place the cistern onto the mounted bracket, ensuring it sits firmly and is aligned correctly in the corner.
  4. Connect the Water Supply: Connect the chrome-plated corner valve to the water inlet on the cistern. Use the provided chrome-plated copper pipe (Ø 10 mm) to connect to your main water supply. Ensure all connections are watertight. The cistern offers a 2-side connection option.
  5. Install the Flush Mechanism: Insert the flush mechanism into the cistern. Ensure it is correctly seated and secured.
  6. Connect the Flush Pipe: Attach the flush pipe bend (Ø 50 x 44 mm; 210 x 200 mm) to the cistern outlet and connect it to the toilet bowl. Use the flush pipe connector to ensure a secure and leak-free connection.
  7. Final Checks: Turn on the water supply and check for any leaks. Allow the cistern to fill and perform a test flush to ensure proper operation.

Operating Instructions

Start/Stop Flushing

The CORNAT SPKECK1400 features a start/stop flushing mechanism. To initiate a flush, press the flush button located on the top of the cistern. To stop the flush prematurely and save water, press the button again.

Adjusting Flush Volume (6-9 Litres)

The flush water quantity can be adjusted between 6 and 9 litres via the filling valve. This adjustment allows for water conservation based on your needs.

  1. Access the Filling Valve: Remove the cistern lid to access the internal components.
  2. Locate Adjustment Mechanism: Identify the adjustment mechanism on the filling valve. This typically involves a float or a screw that controls the water level.
  3. Adjust Water Level: To decrease the flush volume (e.g., towards 6 litres), adjust the mechanism to lower the water fill level. To increase the flush volume (e.g., towards 9 litres), adjust it to raise the water fill level. Refer to the diagram for visual guidance on the adjustment points.
  4. Test and Verify: After adjustment, replace the lid, allow the cistern to fill, and perform a test flush to confirm the desired water volume. Repeat adjustment if necessary.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Clean the exterior of the cistern with a soft cloth and mild, non-abrasive cleaning agents. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the plastic surface. For internal cleaning, turn off the water supply, flush the cistern, and then wipe down accessible surfaces. Do not use abrasive tools or strong descalers on internal components.

Regular Checks

Periodically check all connections for leaks. Inspect the flush mechanism and filling valve for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure the flush button operates smoothly.
