4.1 Top Panel Layout

  • Platform Switch (PS4/PS3): Selects the console compatibility mode.

5. Setup

5.1 Connecting to PlayStation 4

  1. Ensure your PS4 console is powered off or in rest mode.
  2. Set the Platform Switch on the side panel to PS4.
  3. Connect the USB cable from the arcade controller to an available USB port on your PS4 console.
  4. Turn on your PS4 console. The controller should be automatically recognized.
  5. Press the PS Button on the controller to assign a user profile.

5.2 Connecting to PlayStation 3

  1. Ensure your PS3 console is powered off or in rest mode.
  2. Set the Platform Switch on the side panel to PS3.
  3. Connect the USB cable from the arcade controller to an available USB port on your PS3 console.
  4. Turn on your PS3 console. The controller should be automatically recognized.
  5. Press the PS Button on the controller to assign a controller number.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Controls

  • Joystick: Use for character movement or menu navigation. The Joystick Assignment Switch allows you to toggle between D-Pad, Left Stick, or Right Stick input modes, depending on game requirements.
  • Action Buttons: Use the eight main buttons for in-game actions such as attacks, jumps, or special moves.
  • PS Button: Press to return to the console's home screen or to power on the console.
  • OPTIONS Button: Functions as the START button in many games, typically for pausing or accessing game menus.
  • SHARE Button (PS4 only): Press to access the PS4 Share menu, allowing you to capture screenshots or video clips.
  • L3/R3 Buttons: These buttons replicate the L3 and R3 functions found on standard PlayStation controllers.

6.2 Touchpad Functionality (PS4 only)

The HORI Arcade Controller Pro.V Hayabusa includes a touchpad, which functions similarly to the touchpad on a DualShock 4 controller. It can be used for specific in-game interactions or menu navigation where touchpad input is required.

6.3 Turbo Function

The Turbo function allows for rapid-fire input of selected buttons. To activate:

  1. Set the Turbo Speed Switch to your desired speed (e.g., 5, 12, or 20 inputs per second).
  2. While holding down the TURBO button, press the action button you wish to assign the turbo function to.
  3. Release both buttons. The assigned button will now activate turbo when pressed.
  4. To deactivate, repeat the process: hold TURBO and press the assigned action button again.

7. Maintenance

  • Wipe the controller regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
  • For stubborn dirt, lightly dampen the cloth with water and mild soap, then wipe dry immediately.

  • When not in use, store the controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Utilize the built-in cable compartment at the rear of the unit to neatly store the USB cable, preventing tangles and damage.
  • Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the controller.

8. Troubleshooting
