4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Loading Fasteners

  1. Ensure the tool is pointed away from yourself and others.
  2. Locate the bottom-load mechanism release latch, typically at the rear of the tool.
  3. Press the latch to release the pusher rod and pull it out completely.
  4. Insert a strip of compatible staples or brad nails into the magazine channel, ensuring the points are facing forward.
  5. Push the pusher rod back into the tool until it locks securely into place.

4.2 Adjusting Power Settings

The T501 features a high/low power selector. This allows you to adjust the force with which fasteners are driven, optimizing for different material densities.

  • Locate the power selector switch on the side of the tool.
  • Slide the switch to the 'High' setting for denser materials or longer fasteners.
  • Slide the switch to the 'Low' setting for softer materials or shorter fasteners to prevent over-penetration.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 General Operation

  1. Ensure the tool is loaded with the correct fasteners and the power setting is appropriate for your task.
  2. Place the nose of the tool firmly against the workpiece where the fastener is to be driven.
  3. Squeeze the handle firmly and completely to fire the fastener.
  4. Release the handle to reset the firing mechanism for the next fastener.

  • Upholstery: Use JT21 thin wire staples for securing fabrics to furniture frames.
  • Insulation: T50 flat crown staples are suitable for fastening insulation to wooden studs.
