4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge the speaker. The built-in lithium-ion battery provides approximately 6 hours of playback on a full charge.

1. Connect the supplied USB charging cable to the USB port on the rear of the speaker.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
3. The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off once fully charged.

4.2 Powering On/Off

• To turn On the speaker, slide the On/Off switch on the rear panel to the 'On' position. The power indicator will light up.
• To turn Off the speaker, slide the On/Off switch on the rear panel to the 'Off' position. The power indicator will turn off.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Bluetooth Pairing

The Nakamichi BTSP80 can connect wirelessly to Bluetooth-enabled devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops.

1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and within close proximity (within 10 meters or 33 feet) of your Bluetooth device.
2. The speaker will automatically enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth indicator light.
3. On your Bluetooth device, go to the Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
4. Search for available devices and select "Nakamichi BTSP80" from the list.
5. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light on the speaker will become solid, and you will hear a confirmation tone.
6. If pairing fails, turn off both the speaker and your device, then repeat the steps.

5.2 Hands-Free Calling

When connected via Bluetooth to a smartphone, the speaker can be used for hands-free calls.

• Answering a Call: When a call comes in, press the Play/Pause button once to answer.
• Ending a Call: During a call, press the Play/Pause button once to end the call.
• Rejecting a Call: Press and hold the Play/Pause button for 2 seconds to reject an incoming call.

5.3 AUX-IN Mode

For devices without Bluetooth, use the AUX-IN port for a wired connection.

1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX-IN port on the speaker.
2. Connect the other end of the audio cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
3. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX-IN mode.
4. Control playback and volume from your connected device.

5.4 AUX-OUT Mode

The AUX-OUT port allows you to connect the speaker's audio output to another audio system or device.

1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX-OUT port on the speaker.
2. Connect the other end of the audio cable to the audio input of another speaker system or device.
3. Audio playing through the BTSP80 will now be routed to the connected device.
