5. Setup
5.1 Speaker Placement
- Subwoofer: Place the subwoofer on the floor, preferably in a corner or near a wall for optimal bass response.
- Center Speaker: Position the center speaker directly above or below your TV/monitor, facing the listening area.
- Front Speakers (FL/FR): Place the front left and right speakers equidistant from your TV/monitor, forming an equilateral triangle with your primary listening position.

The Areal 525 offers two main input options:
- 5.1 Surround Input (DVD): Use the provided RCA cables to connect your DVD player, Blu-ray player, or other 5.1-channel source to the "DVD" input section (FL, FR, CEN, SW, SL, SR) on the subwoofer's rear panel. Ensure each channel is connected to its corresponding input.
- Stereo Input (AUX): Use the provided AUX cable or RCA stereo cable to connect stereo audio sources (e.g., CD player, MP3 player, TV, laptop) to the "AUX" input section (L, R) on the subwoofer's rear panel.
