1. Introduction

2. Safety Instructions

• Do not operate the vacuum cleaner without a dustbag and filter in place.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of the body away from openings and moving parts.

• Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts listed in the packing contents are present.

3.2 Assembling the Vacuum Cleaner

1. Attach the Hose: Insert the hose connector into the suction opening on the main unit until it clicks securely into place.
2. Attach the Telescopic Wand: Connect the telescopic wand to the hose handle. Adjust the length of the wand by pressing the release button and extending or retracting it.
3. Attach the Floorhead: Select the appropriate floorhead (Electrobrush for carpets, Parquet Twister for hard floors) and attach it to the end of the telescopic wand.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. Press the large foot pedal marked with a power symbol (①) to switch the vacuum cleaner on or off.

4.2 Adjusting Suction Power

The Miele Complete C3 offers 6 different suction power settings, adjustable via foot pedals (+ / -) on the main unit. Select the appropriate setting based on the surface being cleaned:

• Min. (Curtains/Delicate Fabrics): For light cleaning of curtains, textiles, or delicate items.
• Upholstery: Ideal for cleaning upholstered furniture.
• Rugs/Carpets: For low-pile rugs and carpets.
• Hard Floors: For hard flooring surfaces.
• Max. (Heavy Duty/Shaggy Carpets): For intensive cleaning of heavily soiled areas or thick, shaggy carpets.

4.3 Using Attachments

The vacuum cleaner includes three integrated accessories for versatile cleaning:

• Dusting Brush: For cleaning delicate surfaces, shelves, and decorative items.
• Upholstery Nozzle: For cleaning upholstered furniture, mattresses, and cushions.
• Crevice Nozzle: For reaching narrow gaps, corners, and edges.

4.4 Comfort Park System

For quick breaks during vacuuming, hook the floorhead onto the rear of the vacuum cleaner. This allows the unit to stand upright and pause operation.

4.5 Comfort Cable Rewind

To retract the power cord, gently press the foot pedal marked with a cable symbol (②). The cord will automatically rewind into the unit.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Changing the Dustbag

The dustbag indicator on the main unit will signal when the dustbag needs to be replaced. To change the dustbag:

1. Open the dustbag compartment by lifting the lid.
2. Pull the blue collar of the dustbag upwards to seal it, then remove the full dustbag.
3. Insert a new Miele AirClean FilterBag, ensuring the blue collar clicks into place.
4. Close the dustbag compartment lid securely.

5.2 Replacing the Active AirClean Filter

The Active AirClean filter contains active charcoal to neutralize pet odors and should be replaced regularly (approximately once a year, or more frequently with heavy use or pets). The filter indicator will signal when replacement is due.

1. Open the filter compartment by lifting the lid.
2. Remove the old Active AirClean filter.
3. Insert a new Active AirClean filter, ensuring it sits correctly.
4. Close the filter compartment.
