The LW Scientific WBL-20LC-SSD1 is a 20-liter circulating water bath designed for precise temperature control in laboratory settings. It features a seamless stainless steel reservoir for durability and easy cleaning, and a digital touch-pad controller for setting and monitoring temperature.

Setup

  1. Placement: Place the water bath on a stable, heat-resistant, and level surface in a well-ventilated area. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for air circulation.
  2. Fill Reservoir: Fill the stainless steel reservoir with distilled or deionized water. Ensure the water level is above the heating element and circulation pump intake, but below the top edge of the reservoir to prevent overflow when samples are added. Do not exceed the maximum fill line, if indicated.
  3. Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the unit and then plug it into a grounded 110V AC power outlet.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Press the power button on the digital control panel to turn on the unit. The LED display will illuminate, showing the current water temperature.
  2. Set Temperature: Use the 'Up' and 'Down' arrow buttons on the touch-pad to adjust the desired temperature. The set temperature will flash during adjustment and then stabilize once set.
  3. Heating: The unit will begin heating the water to the set temperature. The circulation pump will activate automatically to ensure uniform temperature distribution.
  4. Monitoring: The LED display continuously shows the actual water temperature. Allow sufficient time for the water bath to reach and stabilize at the set temperature before placing samples.
  5. Power Off: Press the power button again to turn off the unit.

Maintenance

  • Regular Cleaning: Periodically drain the water bath and clean the reservoir with a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Rinse thoroughly with distilled water.
  • Water Replacement: Replace the water in the reservoir regularly (e.g., weekly or bi-weekly, depending on usage) to prevent algae growth and mineral buildup. Use only distilled or deionized water.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect the power cord for any signs of damage. If damaged, discontinue use and contact customer support.
