3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking and Inspection
- Carefully remove the cooker from its packaging.
- Inspect the appliance for any signs of damage. Do not use if damaged.
- Ensure all components are present: cooker unit, burner, pan support.
3.2 Placement
- Place the cooker on a stable, flat, non-combustible surface.
- Ensure adequate clearance from walls and overhead surfaces to prevent fire hazards.
- The appliance is equipped with stable non-slip feet for secure placement.
3.3 Gas Connection
The NJ NGB-S1 is designed for use with LPG (Butane, Propane). A suitable gas hose and regulator (not included) are required to connect the cooker to a gas cylinder.
- Connect the gas hose to the outlet gas connector on the rear of the cooker. Ensure a tight and secure connection using a hose clamp.
- Connect the other end of the hose to a suitable gas regulator, then to your LPG cylinder.
- Perform a leak test: Apply a soapy water solution to all gas connections. If bubbles appear, there is a leak. Tighten connections or replace faulty parts. Do not use the appliance if a leak is detected.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Ignition
- Ensure the gas cylinder valve is open.
- Press and turn the control knob counter-clockwise to the 'ON' position. The integrated piezoelectric ignition system will automatically spark and ignite the gas.
- Hold the knob in for a few seconds after ignition to allow the Flame Failure Device (FFD) to engage. Release the knob; the flame should remain lit.
- If the flame does not ignite, repeat the process. If it fails after several attempts, check the gas supply and connections.
4.2 Flame Adjustment
- Once lit, rotate the control knob to adjust the flame intensity from low to high.
- The burner features two concentric flame rings for optimal heat distribution, suitable for various cooking tasks from simmering to rapid boiling.
- For best results, the flame should be blue and stable. Refer to the 'Maintenance' section for flame adjustment if yellow flames are observed.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- Always ensure the cooker is completely cool before cleaning.
- Wipe the tempered glass surface with a clean, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent.
- Remove the pan support and burner for thorough cleaning. Wash with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry completely before reassembling.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the surface.

5.2 Flame Adjustment for Optimal Performance
If you observe yellow or unstable flames, it indicates an incorrect air-to-gas mixture. The cooker has an air damper lever located underneath the burner for adjustment.
- Ensure the cooker is cool and the gas supply is off before attempting adjustments.
- Locate the air damper lever beneath the burner.
- Adjust the lever incrementally to allow more or less air into the mixture.
- Light the burner and observe the flame. Continue adjusting until a clear, stable blue flame is achieved.

6. Troubleshooting
- No Ignition:
- Check if the gas cylinder valve is open.
- Ensure the gas hose and regulator are correctly connected and not obstructed.
- Verify there is gas in the cylinder.
- Ensure the control knob is pressed in sufficiently during ignition.
- Yellow or Unstable Flame:
- Adjust the air damper lever as described in Section 5.2.
- Ensure the burner and pan support are clean and free from debris.
- Gas Odor:
- Immediately turn off the gas supply at the cylinder.
- Open windows and doors for ventilation.
- Do not operate any electrical switches or create sparks.
- Check all gas connections for leaks using soapy water.
- If the odor persists, evacuate the area and contact emergency services or a qualified gas technician.
- Flame Extinguishes During Use:
- The Flame Failure Device (FFD) has activated. This is a safety feature.
- Ensure there is no strong draft.
- Check if the gas supply is running low.
- Relight the burner following the ignition instructions.
