Important Safety Information

Setup

1. Unpacking and Inspection

Remove all contents from the packaging. Inspect the stove for any damage that may have occurred during shipping. If any damage is found, do not operate the stove and contact Coleman customer service.

2. Fueling the Stove

The Coleman Dual Fuel Camping Stove operates on either Coleman Liquid Fuel or unleaded gasoline. Always fuel the stove in a well-ventilated area, away from any ignition sources.

  1. Ensure the stove is cool and the fuel lever is in the 'OFF' position.
  2. Unscrew the fuel cap slowly to release any pressure.
  3. Using a funnel, carefully pour Coleman Liquid Fuel or unleaded gasoline into the fuel tank. Do not overfill; leave approximately 1 inch of space from the top of the tank. The fuel tank capacity is 2.1 pints.
  4. Securely replace the fuel cap.

3. Pumping the Fuel Tank

The stove requires pressure in the fuel tank to operate correctly.

  1. Locate the pump plunger on the side of the fuel tank.
  2. Turn the plunger handle counter-clockwise one full turn to unlock it.
  3. Place your thumb over the hole in the end of the plunger and pump approximately 25-30 times for a full tank. For a partially full tank, pump fewer times.
  4. Turn the plunger handle clockwise to lock it back into place.

Operating Instructions

1. Lighting the Stove

Always light the stove in a safe, outdoor area, away from flammable materials.

  1. Ensure the fuel tank is adequately pressurized (refer to 'Pumping the Fuel Tank' in Setup).
  2. Turn the fuel lever to the 'LIGHT/HIGH' position. You should hear a hiss of fuel vapor.
  3. Immediately apply a lit match or lighter to the burner. The stove should ignite with a yellow flame.
  4. Allow the stove to preheat for approximately 60-90 seconds until the flame turns blue. This indicates proper vaporization of the fuel.
